Archbishop Murphy Blows Open Close Game With 21 Point 3rd Quarter As The Wildcats End R.A. Long’s Season 35-10

Written by Bryan Levesque on November 14, 2009

The R.A. Long Lumberjacks were flying high after beating Tumwater 16-14 last Friday for the school’s first post season win.

The Jacks took that momentum up to Everett and played the #2 Wildcats of Archbishop Murphy very well.

Trailing 7-3 at halftime, things fell apart when AM scored 2 rushing TD’s and then ran back an interception 55 yards for a score and a quick 28-3 lead.

Zach Wimberly hit Gavin Johnson from 11 yards out for the Jacks only TD on the afternoon.

Archbishop Murphy improves to 10-1 with the win. The Wildcats will travel to W.F. West next weekend.

With the loss, R.A. Long drops to 8-3. The Lumberjacks season is over.

The Jacks have nothing to be ashamed of. This has been the best season in years and the boys played their hearts out. They have been hanging with teams that no one gave them a chance against. Jack pride is back!! Good luck Friday night Mark Morris, you’ll need it!
