Blaine Too Much For Mark Morris As Borderites Win 49-25
Written by Bryan Levesque on November 15, 2008
Blaine running back Casey McCabe and wide receiver Trevor Chau were just too much for the Mark Morris Monarchs Saturday as the Borderites won 49-25.
Blaine took a 21-6 lead in the second quarter prior to Mark Morris cutting it to 21-13 at the half. The third quarter was all Borderites as they quickly extended their lead to 35-13 and never looked back.
Mark Morris falls to 7-4 on the season with the loss. The Monarchs did make the state playoffs for the second year in a row and return quite a few players to next years team.
Blaine improves to 7-4 with the win and will have a rematch with fellow NWC foe Lynden in the Quarterfinals. Blaine lost to Lynden 25-3 on October 3rd.
