Northwest Sports Tonight 860AM – Bryan Talks With Ron Callan About GSHL Football 10-24-11
Monday, Bryan called in and talked with Northwest Sports Tonight host Ron Callan.
Callan talked with Bryan about the great game at Chieftain Stadium where Columbia River jumped out to a 14-0 halftime lead over Skyview. Then how Parker Henry scored 4 second half rushing touchdowns leading the Storm to a 36-29 victory. They also talked about Heritage defeating Battle Ground 21-20 at McKenzie Stadium in overtime. Ron played the audio clip of Joey Cooper’s two point conversion pass to Rajheem Carrie to seal the win. The win for Heritage sets up the Timberwolves to just need a win over Evergreen Friday to clinch the 4A GSHL 3rd and final playoff spot.
Ron and Bryan also talked about the Union at Skyview game coming up as well as the Columbia River at Mountain View game..

Northwest Sports Tonight 860AM – Bryan Talks With Ron Callan About GSHL Football 10-17-11
Monday, Bryan called in and talked with Northwest Sports Tonight host Ron Callan.
Callan talked with Bryan about all of the blowout games in week 7 and this year there is such a wide gape between the “haves and the have not’s”. They talked about this for most of the show.
Ron asked what the game of the week was this week, and Bryan said there were 2; Hockinson at Woodland and Battle Ground at Heritage.

Northwest Sports Tonight 860AM – Bryan Talks With Ron Callan About GSHL Football 10-10-11
Monday, Bryan called in and talked with Northwest Sports Tonight host Ron Callan.
Callan talked with Bryan about what happened in week 6 including the big game between Prairie and Columbia River where Prairie won for the first time ever at Columbia River 19-9 over the Chieftains without their starting quarterback Colin seitz. Ron asked about Skyview and their 76-0 win over Battle Ground.
Ron again asked who is better between Skyview and Camas.
Ron asked what team has the best chance to go deep into the playsoffs. Bryan talked about how Skyview, or Union would have 3 home games in the playoffs then go to the dome in the Semifinals and would not have to face Skyline or Ferris until the finals, but would possibly face a Bothell or Issaquah in the opening round. Camas would as well have 3 home games, however much easier games then the Skyview/Union winner would have, then also straight to the Dome for the Semifinals and would not see a Lakes or Bellevue until the Finals.
They then looked ahead to week 7. Ron asked about Evergreen hosting Skyview and Heritage hosting Camas at McKenzie. Bryan talked about the big Woodland at Washougal game Friday and how it could determine the 2A GSHL champion.

Northwest Sports Tonight 860AM – Bryan Talks With Ron Callan About GSHL Football 10-03-11
Monday, Bryan called in and talked with Northwest Sports Tonight host Ron Callan.
Callan talked with Bryan about what happened in week 5 including the big game between Union and Mountain View where Union jumped out to a 21-0 lead only to see it slip away in the 3rd, but to then answer and win 33-21. Ron asked about Skyview and why they are so good on offense after they destroyed Lincoln of Portland 61-6 at Roosevelt High School Friday.
Ron again asked why Camas does not play Union. Then they talked about how Prairie struggled at Camas without QB Colin Seitz.
They then looked ahead to week 6. Ron asked about Hudson’s Bay hosting Camas and Battle Ground traveling to Skyview. Bryan mentioned how Battle Ground has improved a lot, but is still a ways behind Skyview in talent, size and speed. They talked about the big game between Prairie and Columbia River at Chieftain Stadium.

Northwest Sports Tonight 860AM – Bryan Talks With Ron Callan About GSHL Football 09-26-11
Monday, Bryan called in and talked with Northwest Sports Tonight host Ron Callan.
Callan talked with Bryan about what happened in week 4 including the big game between Camas and Skyview where the #4 ranked Papermakers lost to Skyview 31-10 at Boggs Field. Ron asked about what’s going on at Fort Vancouver and if anything can be and/or needs to be done with the Trappers program to help them become competive.
They then looked ahead to week 5. Ron asked about Prairie playing at Camas and if Camas can slow down the Prairie passing game. They talked about the big game between Union and Mountain View at McKenzie Stadium and the other McKenzie double header game featuring Grant of Portland who will come take on Heritage.

Northwest Sports Tonight 860AM – Bryan Talks With Ron Callan About GSHL Football 09-19-11
Monday, Bryan called in and talked with Northwest Sports Tonight host Ron Callan.
Callan talked with Bryan about what happened in week 1 including the big game between Camas and Columbia River where the #5 ranked Papermakers won at Chieftain Stadium 38-14. Ron asked if we were surprised to see Union beat Westview of Portland by 27 points.
They then looked ahead to week 4. Ron asked if Kelso had any chance as they host the Union Titans this weekend. They talked about the big game between Camas and Skyview at Kiggins Bowl. Then they talked about the upcoming double header at McKenzie Stadium where Evergreen will host Eisenhower and Heritage will take on Mountain View.

Northwest Sports Tonight 860AM – Bryan Talks With Ron Callan About GSHL Football 09-12-11
Monday, Bryan called in and talked with Northwest Sports Tonight host Dylan James who was filling in for the vacationing Ron Callan.
James talked with Bryan about what happened in week 2 including Camas big 31-0 win over Mountain View. Papermakrs wide receiver Jonathan Warner had 10 catches for 131 yards and a pair of touchdowns and running back Zach Marshall had 114 yards rushing on 18 carries. Columbia River wetn up to Kelso and blew out the host Hilanders 40-12. The Chieftains had 3 players rush for a pair of touchdowns. Running back Remick Kawawaki had 165 yards rushing on 12 carries, fellow running back Darius Raiford added 114 more rushing yards on just 6 carries and quarterback Clayton Frank had 96 more yards on the ground on 8 attempts. Prairie quarterback Colin Seita there 6 touchdowns in the Falcons 55-7 win over Hockinson.
Bryan also touched on all of the rest of the scores, except he forgot to mention Battle Ground’s 54-13 win over Fort Vancouver and Tigers defensive back Tyler Bergeron two first quarter interceptions. The first one was ran back 57 yards to the Trappers 1, then on the ensuing drive, Bergeron put a stop to the Fort Vancovuer advance when he took back his second interception 100 yards for the touchdown.

Northwest Sports Tonight 860AM – Bryan Talks With Ron Callan About GSHL Football 09-06-11
Tuesday, Bryan called in and talked with Northwest Sports Tonight host Ron Callan.
Callan talked with Bryan about what happened in week 1 including Mountain View’s big win over rival Evergreen, the Papermakers 20-6 win in a battle of top-10 Washington 3A schools, Skyview’s heartbreaking home loss to #2 ranked Sherwood of Oregon as well as how Mark Morris defeated Kelso 21-7 in Longview.
They then looked ahead to week 2 and discussed how Evergreen has another tough draw when #2 ranked Lakes comes to McKenzie Stadium Friday, what to expect form the Mark Morris at Heritage game, and of course, what we can look for in the big Mountain View at Camas 3A GSHL showdown.

Northwest Sports Tonight 860AM – Bryan Talks With Ron Callan About GSHL Football 09-01-11
Thursday, Bryan, Ron, Rodney and Trevor all went down to the KPAM studios in Portland to talk with Northwest Sports Tonight host Ron Callan.
Callan talked with Ron Soanka about how 1550AM KKOV will be broadcasting Greater St. Helens League games LIVE on the radio again. Along with Ron doing the play-by-play, Rodney Lawerance and Trevor Donison will be doing color commentary for all games at McKenzie Stadium.
Bryan talked about the gshlfootball.com website and why he started it.
Everyone discussed what we could expect in the 2011 season, including how Skyview and Union look to be the top 2 teams in the 4A, Camas and Mountain View look to be the top 2 teams in the 3A, and Mark Morris gets the nod as the two-time defending champs, but how the 2A GSHL is wide open this season.
