Game Recap – Camas 59 Heritage 6
Written by Bryan Levesque on October 15, 2011
In what felt like a sluggish first quarter, the visiting Camas Papermakers still led Heritage 17-6 heading into the second quarter. That’s when the Papermkers exploded for five touchdowns from five different players to make a close 17-6 game a “running clock” 52-6 halftime lead. Camas RB Zack Marshall scored both Papermakers first quarter touchdowns and then caught a touchdown pass from QB Tony Gennaro to cap off the big second quarter. Gennaro also threw a touchdown to WR Zach Eagle earler in the first quarter. Marshall only ran the ball 7 times but had 105 rushing yards. Heritage QB Joey Cooper ran in an 18 yard touchdown in the first to make it a 10-6 game, but the young Timberwolves could not do much the rest of the game versus the vaunted Camas defense.
Camas improves their record to 6-1 on the season with the win. The Papermakers will host Fort Vancouver (0-7 0-4) Friday at Doc Harris Stadium, 7:00 p.m. Heritage falls to 1-6 on the season with the loss. The Timberwolves will host Battle Ground (4-3 1-2) Friday at McKenzie Stadium, 5:00 p.m.

Got something to say?

First Quarter fun, Second Quarter domination, Second half boring. I hate running clock!!!
Why does the Heritage band play the Debby Downer theme when something good happens? (3:00) You wanna start changing attitudes over there, how ’bout dropping that German death durge and play something with a little zip! A little POW! A little BANG!! instead of Yeah! We scored!! (wonk, wonk. wooonk). its ridiculous
Here is a good question!!!! How bad is next weeks game between Camas and Fort going to be? Final score????Yards aloud???? How soon will the JV start playing in this game, after all it is Homecoming and this game will clinch another league title????
Hey – I’ve been using Just a Fan since the season started – why is someone else using my screen name? Incredible
