Kelso RB Slate Miller ran for 92 yards and 3 rushing touchdowns, including 2 in the first quarter as the visiting Hilanders defeated Fort Vancouver 41-6. Kelso had over 300 yards of offense on the night and led 41-0 mid way through the 4th quarter. Trappers QB Jacob Austin threw for 94 yards in the loss and RB Jorda Vela led the running attack for Fort with 74 yards on 7 carries.
Kelso improves their record to 2-3 on the season and 2-1 in league play with the win. The Hilanders will host Evergreen (0-5) Friday at Schroeder Field, 7:00 p.m. Fort Vancouver falls to 0-5 on the season and 0-2 in league play with the loss. The Trappers will travel to Mountain View (3-2 1-1) Thursday at McKenzie Stadium, 7:00 p.m.
