Mountain View took to the ground once again and used a 250+ rushing yard night to beat the host Kelso Hilanders 45-0. The Thunder scored five rushing touchdowns, two from FB Eddie Richardson and three from TB Michael Rivers. Rivers ran for 122 yards, which was 6 more yards than the Thunder allowed Kelso the entire night. The Thunder led 42-0 at the half. Kelso RB Slate Miller led the Hilanders with just 24 rushing yards on 8 carries.
Mountain View improves their record to 5-2 on the season and 3-1 in league play with the win. The Thunder will travel to Hudson’s Bay (0-7 0-4) Friday at Kiggins Bowl, 7:00 p.m. Kelso falls to 3-4 on the season and 2-2 in league play with the loss. The Hilanders will travel to Prairie (4-3 3-2) as the road team Friday at District Stadium, 7:00 p.m.
