Game Recap – Rainier 64 R.A. Long 12
Written by Bryan Levesque on September 17, 2011
The Rainier Columbians more than made up for last season’s 20-2 loss at R.A. Long with a convening 64-12 home victory over the out-maned Jacks. WR Jacob Yordy caught a 52 yard TD pass from QB Ryan Peerboom in the first quarter to cut the Columbians lead to 8-6 and Jimi Roundtree ran in a TD from 60 yards out later in the quarter to make it a 24-12 game. After that it was all Columbians.
R.A. Long falls to 1-2 on the season with the loss. The Lumberjacks will host Centralia (2-1) Friday at Longview Memorial Stadium, 7:00 p.m.

Got something to say?

Ouch! Rainier is good, I don’t think this is an indicator of the quality of the Jacks. I’m a little worried about Peerboom missing some time at QB though. another tough non-league game next week against Centralia, but we’re at home, which will help. Time to start gearing up for our first 2 league games on the road against Washougal and Woodland.
