Game Recap – Ridgefield 27 Woodland 20

Despite a balanced offensive attack, the Woodland Beavers lost on the road at Ridgefield 27-20 Friday night. running back Cy Whitmire ran for 147 yards on 11 carries and scored on a very nice 80 yard run. quarterback Adam Shoup threw for 141 yards and 2 touchdowns. Ridgefield running back Michael Knox had is second 100+ yard rushing game of the season, as he ran for 117 yards and scored two touchdowns.

Woodland falls to 1-1 on the season with the loss. The Beavers will host Battle Ground (1-1) Friday at Woodland Stadium 7:00 p.m.

    Congrats to Michael Knox of Ridgefield who is an outstanding athlete. He has tore it up lately. 250 yards against Fort Vancouver’s varsity, 117 and two touchdowns against Woodland’s varsity on friday night. Then last night he tore up our Woodland Jv team with a kickoff return for a touchdown, and a punt return for a touchdown and had some great runs and played well at safety. He will be one to watch.
