After dropping their last 3 games, the visiting Woodland Beavers win up to Longview and schocked the two-time defending 2A Greater St. Helens League champion Mark Morris Monarchs 21-14. Woodland QB Adam Shoup passed for 220 yards and threw a pair of touchdowns. One in the first quarter to Nick Fuller, who finished the night with 104 receiving yards on 4 catches, from 21 yards out and one in the forth quarter to Hunter Huddleston from 9 yards out to push the Beavers lead to 21-7.

Woodland improves their record to 2-3 on the season and 1-0 in league play with the win. The Beavers will host R.A. Long (1-4 0-1) Friday at Woodland Stadium, 7:00 p.m. Mark Morris falls to 2-3 on the season and 0-1 in league play with the loss. The Monarchs will travel to Hockinson (3-2 0-0) Friday at Nautilus Field, 7:00 p.m.
