For all the grief I’ve given HHS fans…this was a quality win. Anytime you battle back & overcome a deficit like that it shows heart and character. I’m still not ‘sold’ on Heritage, but you definately have reason to be optimistic.

  2. dADDYDAVE on October 17th, 2009 12:38 pm

I hope people continue to pick Heritage to lose. This wasnt a stunner to anyone who has watched Heritage football this year. There are two Heritage teams for sure this season. One that plays flat with little effort and often makes many mental mistakes, and there is one that is smash mouth, precise and plays balls to the wall. I drove up and saw them dominate 3 1/2 quarters of football on what was suppose to be a better team. Too many people get caught up in wins and losses and saw Kelso as “great” because of their 5-1 record. They lost to River, who is down big time and had wins vs Prairie, Fort and Mark Morris who are all terrible. They beat a MT View team that is so so and did have a decent win vs Evergreen. So in reality they had one quality win. Heritage did lose handily to Union, but other than that they have lost late in the 4th quarter to quality teams. West is #4 and undefeated in 2a and Camas. So keep bashing Heritage and just show how clueless you are.

Props to Heritage. Better than expected. Greyson is a beast and had his way with us. We have to regroup for an over rated Skyview. Hope to meet Greyson again in the playoffs.

  4. Just Sayin' on October 17th, 2009 1:35 pm

I knew it…. you have reason to be OPTIMISTIC, not cocky. How can you ‘dominate’ & be down 22-7?

  5. Defensive D on October 17th, 2009 2:17 pm

I think what the poster meant was the first quarter was all Kelso, after that Heritage dominated. Heritage total offense was over 500 yards while kelso i belive managed 230 yards. Kelso had 4 first downs the rest o the game after the first quarter. Heritage turned the ball over 3 times inside Kelso 20 which made the game closer then expected . i expect a kelso creaming by skyview 34-14

  6. sweetness on October 17th, 2009 2:27 pm

This was a strange game. Kelso moves the ball at will early on it’s way to scoring 22 points. Lots of mental mistakes by this HHS defense. Finally, they show a sense of urgency and they keep Kelso out of the end zone for 2 1/2 quarters. HHS offense can’t get going until the end. If the D and O can get it together for the Twolves, watch out. Kelso played a tough brand of football and it was good to see HHS match and exceed that intensity. The only gripe I have is Kelso is too one dimensional.

Someone needs to tell the clock operator for the EHS team that during the PAT attempts the clock does not run. Thought it would have been noticed earlier, but no.

  8. Don on October 17th, 2009 3:29 pm

At least your clock worked, the one at district stadium was on frtiz for most of the first and second quarter. You would think that someone would show up at the stadium early enough to make sure all of that works properly.

    K town beat down!!!!! WHATTTTTT!!!!

  10. sweetness on October 17th, 2009 5:56 pm

had to say…stop embarrassing the people that truly support HHS!

  11. GSHL Observer on October 17th, 2009 8:33 pm

Great win against a very average team. Good luck the rest of the way HHS. I think you guys might win one more this year.

  12. Hlander#44 on October 18th, 2009 9:14 am

We got tired going both ways. If I didnt have to rush and blitz Graysen all day we would of won. THERE is no way we lose to Skyview. WE ARE KELSO

  13. GSHL Observer on October 18th, 2009 11:11 am

when will this games highlights be up?

  14. OBServer on October 18th, 2009 1:07 pm

Skyview is not overrated. Kelso better come to play next week or Skyview will win easily.

  15. kiddinme on October 18th, 2009 1:21 pm

Kelso 6-1 his knee was downnnnn!!!!!!!!

  16. Football fanatic on October 18th, 2009 1:31 pm

I would have to say the Heritage O-LINE deserves MANY Props – they are the backbone of this team. Good going guys – and CONGRATS !

  17. twolffan on October 18th, 2009 3:06 pm

i never saw any cameras at the game unless they decide to use the inzone cam or the video from up in the box

  18. oopsydaisy on October 18th, 2009 6:18 pm

HHS OLINE is the back bone??? Right! They can’t seem to keep Grayson OFF his back bone. He has been scrambling for his life all season!!!

  19. Football fanatic on October 18th, 2009 8:32 pm

Football is a team sport, not an individual sport. An individual player is as good as the team that supports them.

  20. Football Fan on October 18th, 2009 9:31 pm

#44, you seem like a good player from the stands as was your teammate, #26. Let’s just see how the season turns out for both teams rather than call another teams line “soft”. It was an emotional loss for the Kelso program I’m sure and you should be proud of how hard you fought to win. Just shake hands and move on… That is what humble winners and losers do.
No need to get personal as your team was not flawless either. Chalk this one up to a good game played exceptionally hard and from a fans perspective, great to watch! Good Luck the rest of the way!

  21. vancouver on October 19th, 2009 10:09 am

no doubt kelso blew the game. how could you say heritage is better? grayson threw two picks and kelso blew coverage on the last play of the game. Sari was the best player on the field forget grayson

  22. heritage kid on October 19th, 2009 10:15 am

sari is more explosive. best athlete ive seen in a long time. wish his team could help him just a little

  23. GSHL Player on October 19th, 2009 10:28 am

#44 you guys have played some of the “Softest ” teams in the state. you guys arnt as good as you guys think you are.You guys think you are good because in preseason you guys played 2A and 3A teams and you think you guys are gonna win league? . once you guys go out to play skyview you guys will be lost because they play at much higher level than your guys’s team.

  24. KTown 22 on October 19th, 2009 7:43 pm

To Skyview #41: The wood to us? let’s do all the talk on the field….and by the way…it’s a thursday game if you aren’t aware of…Skyview is verry OVER-RATED!

    K-Town BEAT DOWN!

  25. RealKelso#44 on October 19th, 2009 8:35 pm

To Football Fan and GSHL Player. And of course Hilander#44
I would like to say that Hilander#44 is not me, I am the player on Friday nights that suits up to play every week. It bothers me to find that this individual would use my identity to bash the opposing team. Here’s what the real #44 thinks. Yes it was a great game, a tough one for both teams. Heritage came out on top in the end and, at that time I did get frustrated at the referee’s call because, like every player out there, I wanted to win. It was a heart breaker, but now I am over it, and I graciously accept defeat and have my mind now on the next game. I am deeply sorry for the mistake, that my name would be slandered by some poser who looks like he needs to take his english class a little more seriously. Hilander#44, I ask you now to stop using my name to post on this site, thank you.

  26. Murphanator on October 19th, 2009 8:46 pm

YO HILANDER 44 u are a fake… i know the real guy and we read this together and ur trying to put him to shame so u should probably stop now

  27. Friday Night Fan on October 19th, 2009 10:11 pm

Stormer # 41 is NOT a Skyview player! The real player would not be caught dead posting ANYTHING on this site! And yes the game is thursday and will be a very good game. Two very good teams.

  28. Schmitty on October 20th, 2009 8:30 am

Kelso you my friend where more over rated then garlic fries at mcdonalds. Get over the loss and focus on Skyview who is looking to put up 40 plus against your all -run offense. I can already hear the 3 and outs being chanted in the stands.

  29. The Outlooker on October 20th, 2009 8:41 am

Boys, boys calm down. Sari is a good football player for a pretty decent team. Grayson is an excellent player on a good team. Lets not forget he torched you guys for 350 yards in the air and around 80 on the ground. Not to mention he ran one in and passed for three. Ohh by the way he was clutch as always. Sari put up an outstanding effort as well, but he faces a skyview defense that’s goal is to keep him under 60 yards. The storm looks forward to the K-Town smashdown at our Home. N.B.L.C.

  30. Fballfan on October 20th, 2009 10:41 am

Just watched the game, highlights, thanks Bryan. Two things are clear. Kelso’s rb Sari was good but was tired later in the game. He gashed the D for big runs. The Grayson kid was also good. He can sling that ball better then anyone I have seen in person or on this website all-season. Overall it was a great high school football game and I hope both teams make state.

  31. Kelso_Davenport on October 20th, 2009 10:41 am

#44 from Kelso is Jared Oniel and he is probably one of the nicest most respectable althletes and #26 sari has deffinently stepped it up this year and if Kelso plays their best they are a team you dont wanna mess with there were some big hits in this game i gotta say it’s the type of kelso football i havent seen in years hopefully on thursday kelso will stick it to skyview good luck to all

  32. mosdef on October 20th, 2009 11:51 am

The HHS-Kelso game was definitely hard-hitting. Early on, I thought it was going to be a romp by Kelso and HHS would have no chance. I don’t know what was said or done at halftime, but that defense brought it. In fact, both defenses played extremely well in the second half. It was 22-7 forEVER! The T-wolf offense put it together in clutch situations. Greyson is the real deal!

  33. JawRaw on October 20th, 2009 1:42 pm

Glad to see Kelso back on the map. Hopefyully the team seen Friday night can continue to be like the Kelso of old. They seemed to not have enough steam to put Heritage away. The Heritage QB I think is a senior so I hope he wont be destroying our secondary ever again. 8 td passes in two games against us and over 700 yards…I am having nightmares.

  34. T-Wolf fan for life on October 21st, 2009 8:40 am

What a game it was up in kelso the D came so big for the wolfs sitll have life and that is all good and for all the Greyson haters out there he has now thrown for more td and yards then any GSHL player of all times wolfs love to fight so i’m calling it Skyview will play the t-wolfs for the 1st seed and another league title

  35. scot dyer on October 22nd, 2009 5:39 pm

hilander fan yes kelso lost by one to heritage but give this team some credit. sari is one of the best running backs in the gshl. yes this team is one dimensional but they run the ball well so that is what works for them. stop bashing and saying they have not played any one. heritage and skyview have played they same teams. this team leaves it all on the field every game win or lose that is all you could ask. get over yourself and stop bashing them!
