Mark Morris Edges Franklin 24-22

Written by Bryan Levesque on September 26, 2008

The Monarchs bounded back from their week 3 upset loss to Eatonville with a close win in Seattle over the 3A Franklin Quakers 24-22. Mark Morris is now 3-1 and may move up into the AP top-10 this week with the win. Friday night saw the 2A #5, #6 and #7 teams all loose. All three schools (Pullman, Lynden, and West Valley (Spokane)) are now 2-2. Lynden did loose to the 3A #2 school Ferndale so they may stay in the top-10, but Mark Morris should find themselves in this week. Mark Morris opens league play next week hosting win-less Washougal. If Mark Morris is not in the top-10 this week a big win over the Panthers, who have been outscored 183-14 this season, could very well get them in the week after.
