Gave to much credit to Mark Morris….only the quarter finals. They still have to play @ Ellensburg who’s 11-0

  2. MM Power on November 14th, 2009 10:53 pm

hahaha, give us the semi’s we’ll take a bye over ellensburg anyday! but yes Ellensburg will be the toughest game we will play. like they say if you want to be the best you must beat the best. records mean nothing, we lost our only game by 1 point with 27 secs left after the most rediculous play, so technicly were 11-0 too. Ellensburg is rediculously good though.

  3. sky'sthelimit on November 14th, 2009 11:06 pm

I was at that game and the play you lost on was a 90 blast…straight up the middle by the best running back in the area. So dont even try to tell people that play was ridiculous

  4. kings on November 15th, 2009 1:10 am

I believe the play that MM Power was referring to was a few plays earlier when the Kelso qb threw a pass right to a MM defender and was dropped. That pick would have ended the game. They may also be referring to a pass that was thrown on 4th down, which was basically a jump ball and was tipped and ended up in a Kelso receivers hands, not the intended one.

Either way you have a point, MM still had the opportunity to get a stop on the goalline.

  5. MM Power on November 15th, 2009 9:42 pm

on the goalline lane sari jumped over the line and got the two pt conversion. I dont’ care who you are, when you need less than a yard to win, you are probably gonna get it. and yes i was talking about the pass on fourth down which went through two mm defenders and somehow was caught by kelso. if you dont’ think that play is ridiculous then you need to look at the film

  6. sky'sthelimit on November 15th, 2009 10:01 pm

But none the less Kelso did score and won 15-14 so that makes Mark Morris 10-1 not 11-0. I have to tell you MM Power it felt pretty good storming your field and feels pretty good to be the only school to beat you.

  7. Ace on November 16th, 2009 1:38 am

the funniest part is they ran sari right over welch for the two point conversion.

  8. HollarBack on November 16th, 2009 11:55 am

Ace-what is funny is Sari is sitting at home wishing he was in the pay-offs and Welch already done did that! Back when Welch was still in eighth grade he was thinking about becoming a Highlander-Coach Hymes stated he never starts freshman on varsity and he (Welch) would have a long road ahaed of him to proove his stuff. LMAO-whats your motto-I AM KELSO?

  9. sky'sthelimit on November 16th, 2009 6:37 pm

HollarBack if i was you right now i would be feeling pretty dumb. The motto is WE ARE KELSO…next time you might want to do some research before embarrassing yourself.

  10. MM Power on November 17th, 2009 12:45 pm

he didn’t embarass himself, you did that yourself. you talk about how your a better school. when that is just a bunch of bs, how come we lost to only kelso, and we are RANKED in the state. is kelso ranked? heck no! because compared to other 4a schools they aren’t anything special. Storming our field…we’ve never done that even when we beat RAL we didn’t storm the field cuz we aren’t immature unsportsmenlike jerks. if anyone would have stormed the field Perkins would of yelled at em to get OFF

  11. HollarBack on November 17th, 2009 1:04 pm

No embarssment here! Some graditude is owed however. Although marginal, Kelso did beat the Monarchs (1 point is by no means a slaughter) and it only set forth a powerhouse that refused to be in that very position again. So, THANK YOU KELSO-you are the hero that saved the day! Can I hear a I IS KELSO? Your comment is my point exactly.

  12. sky'sthelimit on November 17th, 2009 5:01 pm

MM Power- I talk about how Kelso is a better school is because they are..they beat you guys so that makes them the better team. Make sense?
Hollarback- Your welcome? Thats the first time i have ever heard someone thank their oppenent for beating them, must be a longview thing i guess.

  13. HollarBack on November 17th, 2009 5:56 pm

Yes, it is a Longview thing to be humble and give credit where credit is due. Yes, you were the better team on that particular day. Yes, MM is the better team for the season. Yes, I will waste no more time on you. Yes, I am hearing I IS KELSO?

  14. MM Power on November 17th, 2009 10:49 pm

may I remind you sky that our two td’s were on the first two drives, we looked unstoppable and with all the mistakes we made, like the int’s dropped, losing the RB off the edge, dropping a TD pass, missing a 30 yrd field goal, kirkpatrick’s int when he had a wide open reciever on the back side and kelso still only won by A point. And holla is right, when we lost that game, our whole team was sooo mad that we lost a game we should have dominated. All they did was snap us out of a trance and we won’t ever think we are so good that we don’t have to go hard. So Power football is us, we will eat clock, stall defenses and go all the way (hopefully). And don’t forget this stat that you might not realize, MM’s JV beat kelso’s JV 29-8, and they scored on a play that we blitzed and shouldn’t have.

  15. MM Power on November 17th, 2009 10:50 pm

SOOO….THANKS KELSO!!!!!!!! I hope beating us felt good, cuz the playoffs feel soooo good!!!!

  16. lgvfootball on November 18th, 2009 1:15 pm

    oh dax..

  17. sky'sthelimit on November 18th, 2009 4:31 pm

hahaha hopefully? Doesnt sound to sure of themselves and why would you bring jv into this conversation. And you wanna talk about POWER FOOTBALL? Here are some real stats for you to look at…Wolf and Kinder were MM top rushers with 46 yds and 44 while Lane Sari had a total of 112 yds.

  18. blockthatkick on November 18th, 2009 6:54 pm

Lane Sari is awesome-no doubt about that, but he isn’t the whole team. I gotta give it to the Monarchs-every starter on both sides of the ball have talent and give 100% each and every game. Wolf, Kinder, McCoy, Fenney, Carpenter just as running backs contribute equally. What should a team consist of: one super star who could all of a sudden have a bad game, or even get hurt and all is lost-OR- have many players who work together and get the job done? HollarBack isn’t sounded too much like a redneck anymore. I see the direction he took with the “I IS KELSO” thing. No “I” in team.

  19. HollarBack on November 19th, 2009 9:30 am

Hey blockthatkick-I think you just gave me a compliment. Anyhoo, you must read minds-or atleast the Daily Scandal a day before anyone else because what you said is in an article today-read it and weep skysthelimit. Take your punky little attitude back to your empty stadium and repeat after me “I IS KELSO, I IS KELSO, I IS KELSO……………”

  20. MM Power on November 19th, 2009 11:35 am

one game means nothing.how many wins? MM=10 kelso=6…not so hot. you can’t possibly say we arn’t power football, if we weren’t dalton thacker and sean atkins would have 50 catches. but o-corrdiator knows that running the ball is more important. wolf+kinder=90 yrds. don’t forget feeney, poole, wilson and carpenter. they will combine for more yrds than just sari. don’t start to think he’s AP or LT. get outa here, i respect sari but after all the talkin that fans do @kelso. blockthatkick, your the man bro

  21. sky'sthelimit on November 19th, 2009 3:24 pm

You guys keep on naming all these players and how good they are and everything but your missing one thing…what happen to them in the game against Kelso? Kelso defense shut them out thats what happen. And what are you talking about that one game means nothing…one game means everything. Teams dont lose the championship game and say hey guys it was only one game were still better than them. Two teams play and the winner is obviously the better of the two. Kelso beat MM wich makes them the better team and nobody can argue that.

  22. fajunga on November 19th, 2009 5:58 pm

sky’sthelimit.. please stop talking. You are just wasting your time trying to prove a point that nobody really cares about. sure you beat mm on a series of freak plays in the matchup this year but in the end all that really matters is that MM is still playing and you are not. Obviously, most MM’ers have moved beyond that game but since you can’t and are obviously extremely proud that your football program is the only thing your entire town has going for it, you should preach to your friends and not the people who are rooting for MM to win a state championship.

  23. MM Power on November 19th, 2009 6:29 pm

Exactly thank you fajunga. biggest point that i have left…Non League game. non league means nothing. only how you play in league and same size of school.

  24. sky'sthelimit on November 19th, 2009 6:39 pm

Uh ohhhhhhhh i think Monarch fans are starting to get a little frustrated…And obviously most MM’ers have moved on cuz im sure losing to a cross town rival must be harsh and this game must mean something MM Power cuz youve been commenting on this for a couple days now. There was 5,800 people there so yea this game did mean something to both schools.

  25. blockthatkick on November 19th, 2009 10:53 pm

Dude-we must have been at a different game because there is no way in [heck] there were 5,800 people at that game. There wasn’t even that many at the Civil War game with MM and RAL for a league title-are u smoking? Furthermore, the only frustration is your pure ignorance. It is one thing to be proud of your team and it’s accomplishments, but you are beating a dead horse. Kelso beat Mark Morris-no doubt about that. Sari stacked up the yards-yes indeed. We had some not so favorable plays that gave you 1 more point-of course. What more do you want-oh, wait I know you wanted-a chance for state? Sorry, thats what we got. And we certainly have not gotten here by being cocky and impervious to making mistakes and learning from them-we continued to be on our game and now a trip to Kennewick is approaching. No worries though-we have the ability to look forward to tomorrow while you are still stuck on stupid, or better yet. Sept 4, 2009.

  26. MM Power on November 21st, 2009 12:05 pm

sky…I’m commenting on this to try to explain to you that one nonleague game dosn’t effect a season. the reason i’m wasting my time is because I enjoy rubbing the state playoffs in your face. You beat us this year. End of story. We made playoffs this year end of story. Whose the overall better team…well who has a better record?who made the quaterfinals this year? who beat opponents by an avg score of 35? Who had 17 players on the 1st and 2nd teams this year? Who had the defensive MVP on there team this year? No one from the GSHL other than skyview or Union or Mark Morris. that is a chain. 4a 3a 2a. Your not the 4a best teamof the GSHL. But we are the best of the 2a. so just shut it with we are kelso. cuz we’ve got Monarch Power!

Got something to say?
