Mountain View Keeps Evergreen Out Of Post Season With 35-21 Win

October 31, 2008

The Evergreen Plainsmen were one win away from a share of the 4A GSHL title and a Monday tie-breaker date with Skyview and Heritage. Mountain View, was not going to let this happen.

After falling behind 7-0 early, the Thunder scored 21 unanswered points and then controlled the clock the rest of the game and hang on for the 35-21 win.

With the win, Mountain View improves to 5-4 and 3-2 in league and a third place finish. Only the top two teams from 4A make the play-offs this season.

Evergreen falls to 5-4 and 3-2 in league and finishes forth with the loss. A win your first, a loss you are forth. The 4A GSHL has been a close race all season.
