Tonight's National Football Foundation Banquet Canceled
Unfortunately due to this weeks bad weather, and all the local school closures, the National Football Foundation Banquet has been canceled. The National Football Foundation Banquet is in it’s 20th year of awarding scholarships to local high school football players who demonstrate excellence on the field, in the classroom and in the community. The event will be reschedule at a later date, TBD.
Here is the press release from the National Football Foundation:
I’m sorry to say that due to the weather and the Vancouver Public School closure, we will not be hosting the National Football Foundation banquet this evening.
The event will be rescheduled at a later date which has yet to be determined.
Parents, please have your honorees return their tuxes as soon as weather permits them to do so.
We will notify everyone as soon as we can reschedule the event and provide more details at that time.
I’m sorry we are unable to host this fantastic event this evening.
The Columbian did a couple of write ups on the event, if you are not aware of what it is all about, give it a read.
