Prairie Makes The Final Play In 27-21 Win At Hudson’s Bay

Prairie went into Kiggins Bowl Friday night and defeated the host Hudson’s Bay Eagles 27-21.

Prairie put up 21 points in the 2nd quarter then hit a 50 yard touchdown pass in the 4th quarter and held on to their slim playoff hopes. WR Tyler Vea had 5 catches for 70 yards in the win as 4 different Prairie players scored touchdown. QB Coleman Weisenborn had the 50 yard touchdown pass in the 4th quarter and a 1 yard touchdown run in the 2nd quarter.

Hudson’s Bay’s Richard Carter had 132 rushing yards on 9 carries including a 58 yard touchdown run in the first quarter that opened the scoring.

With the win Prairie improves to 3-4 on the season and 2-3 in league play. The Falcons will travel to Kelso (5-2 3-1) Friday at Schroeder Field 7:00 p.m. Hudson’s Bay falls to 1-6 on the season with the loss and 0-4 in league play. The Eagles will travel to Mountain View (5-2 3-1) Friday at McKenzie Stadium 5:00 p.m.

    prairie will have there hands full with kelso! but if there defense steps up like they did against mountain view then it could be a very exciting game!
