R.A. Long Beats Washougal 36-23 At Home

R.A. Long scored 21 unanswered points in the second half on their way to a 36-23 home league win over Washougal Friday.

Lumberjacks Senior RB Shawn Brown had a pair of rushing touchdowns in his first ever football game to help R.A. Long get the win. Freshman RB Jacob Yordy added a 58 yard touchdown run as well for the Jacks.

Washougal RB Sam O’Hara had another strong game, with 149 yards from scrimmage and a 2 yard touchdown run in the loss.

With the win R.A. Long improves to 4-1 on the season and 1-0 in league play. The Lumberjacks will host Woodland (0-5 0-1) next Friday at Longview Memorial Stadium 7:00 p.m. Washougal falls to 3-2 on the season with the loss and 0-1 in league play. The Panthers will host Crook County of Oregon (?-?) in a non=league game Friday at Fishback Stadium 7:00 p.m.
