Doggone it…Ferris will have a ton of support, how is this a neutral field again?? Anyways, hope Storm supporters rally up for their team & make the trip. Your team has given you so much to cheer for & be proud of, if your on the fence about going do whatever it takes to make the trip, your team NEEDS your support! Go Storm!

  2. Bryan Levesque on November 22nd, 2009 10:23 pm

it is not a neutral field. It never has been and never will be. Semifinals always have 1 game in Tacoma Dome and one on the east side (if a east side team is still alive). Evergreen played at Pasco in 2003 and at Gonzaga Prep in 2004. Both games at those schools home stadium.

This will be the 3rd year in a row Ferris has hosted a Semifinals game at Albi. Joe Albi is the home stadium for just about every school in Spokane (Shadle Park, North Central, Rogers, Lewis & Clark, Ferris, Mead, Mt. Spokane) Central Valley, University and Gonzaga Prep will even play home games there as their stadiums are not that large. Albi is 28,000+ seats.

The games at the Tacoma Dome are not their to be neutral in the Semifinals, they are there to make $$$$$. PERIOD.

Imagine if Camas had beat Union, and they had a home game this round, at Doc Harris. They would lose a lot of $$. A lot more casual football fans from the Seattle metro area will drive to Tacoma and watch a school not their own.

So I ask you all, PLEASE do not start complaining about Albi not being neutral, or how far away it is or how it is not fair. That is just how it goes. Just get on the rooter bus at Skyview and enjoy the ride and the super season Skyview has given us to enjoy.

Thank God, whiner Sunday is over. From this point forward, I am not going to engage any of the small minded on here with their pettyness. It’s about football & both of the upcoming games. Woulda, coulda, shoulda is BORING and quite frankly most folks have better things to do then listen to the immature garbage that takes over this site occasionally. Give me some insight on what matters, what kind of team is Ferris? How are the Titans going to stop Bellevue’s offense? Good grief! It’s the week of the semi’s & the dumb-dumb’s have turned this into a boo hoo session about how their feelings got hurt – GROW UP & stop wasting everyone’s time with this mindless drivel!

  4. Bryan Levesque on November 23rd, 2009 12:06 am

I hope Dodge has a much better game than Connor Halliday (wsu commit) in a win, then out play Heaps (byu commit) in a win for the state championship. What a feat that would be. To beat Heaps, Halliday, and Grayson in 1 season. The top 3 rated QB’s in the state.

  5. Scoutariffic on November 23rd, 2009 9:35 am

Union and Skyview thank you so much for the entertainment and getting peoples hopes up. By next sunday the ride will be over and gear will be handed in on Monday. Be sure to give thanks on Thursday to your runs thru state. Union your short “dynasty” is over and the real world will hit you like a ton of bricks in the 4A. Skyview great job milking the wins out of that big senior class.

  6. Storm Fan on November 23rd, 2009 9:41 am

you seem like a great guy there Scoutariffic…

  7. Chrish on November 23rd, 2009 9:44 am

Scout, that was a really nice comment to make? Why would you feel the need to post something like that. Each of these teams has made it to the top 4 in there classifications. Even if they both lose it was still a great season! And I’m not so sure that they will lose. They may not be favored but they are certainly not longshot games.

  8. Titan fan on November 23rd, 2009 9:59 am

Thats cute Scout, now put the computer away before Mommy catches you. Its nap time.

  9. Scoutariffic on November 23rd, 2009 10:18 am

I mentioned thanks for the great season and the entertainment watching both programs prsoper this season. I also used common sense and mentioned that the party is over..turn out the lights.

  10. CCFootball Fan on November 23rd, 2009 10:34 am

Don’t waste much time with Scout he is just bitter because he was never good enough to make a varsity roster, so he will bash others to make himself feel good! There is always the Cheerleading team Scout?!?! Good Luck SW Washington Football win or lose we are proud of ALL of you.

  11. Union Dad on November 23rd, 2009 11:07 am

Scoutariffic, obviously you or your team has never experienced a run this deep in any sporting event. Both Skyview and Union had big targets on their backs this year and are still playing, let me sit you down son and share a little secret with you, when you make it to the Semi finals YOU ARE A GOOD TEAM! and it is a coin flip as to how far you go from here, a bad call, a injury, a great play, players playing up from their abilities, players playing down from their abilities, a bus crash on the way to the game that no one was hurt inspires some to come together as a team of destiny, a team coming together after three years to finally put it all together in one moment, and sometimes it is just their day, you see son their is a thousand little things that go into the making of a championship team. Now Junior, quit playing nasty or we will have to call your daddy to whip you and send you to bed with no football…
    GO TITANS
    Mark MIller

  12. Armchair QB on November 23rd, 2009 11:31 am

Hey, don’t insult the Cheerleading squads. They wouldn’t want him either. Or maybe “scout” is the right gender…? Anyway, thanks Bryan for getting the accurate time so quickly from WIAA of Friday’s rematch with the Wolverines. GO TITANS!!!!

  13. Ferris Fairy on November 23rd, 2009 11:46 am

Union Dad that was inspirational. Now get off the soapboz and face facts. Both teams in your area are in for a rude awakening. Every couple years a team in lower western wash squeeks in and that is what is happening. Please get to the game early and buy the Ferris Super Chocolate Hot Chocolate or to the dome to enjoy a Bellevue Blitz pickle.

  14. Wing T 4 Life on November 23rd, 2009 11:48 am

The only thing I am looking forward to besides a repeat of our domination last year is watching those Union Dads in the parking lot throwing around the football talking about their glory days of football and how they would of stopped Bellevue if they where out there.

  15. Armchair QB on November 23rd, 2009 1:01 pm

Fairy, please pop back into that magic bubble of yours and return to the other side the rainbow. This is GSHL’s year, and you are but a speedbump in our way. Skyview didn’t “squeak” into anything. Keep drinkin’ your chocolate Kool-Aid.

Wing T, you’re going to be very disappointed this weekend if you think the Titans will let you or anyone else dominate them this year. Have another cup of Fairy’s magic potion. It’ll help you deal with your holiday depression. GO GSHL!!!

  16. swfannn@the couv on November 23rd, 2009 1:09 pm

They dont mention Skyview or much of Union
    see the link

  17. Wing T 4 Life on November 23rd, 2009 1:28 pm

We have had scouts at the last three Union games and we know them like a book. We will continue to run our simple 9 play playbook all night to victory.
You think their 6-2 or modified 4-4 will stop us in their “black” “silver” or “miami” coverage. As fire marshall bill said, let me tell ya somethin. Union goes down in flames this weekend.

  18. Bellevue Pickle on November 23rd, 2009 1:31 pm

Union will be envious of our utter domination. You cnt run the ball against us and your Hail mary passes to 18 all night will be intercepted along with your silly tight end screens and swing passes. Your offense smells of a pro style circa 1983.

  19. Fan of the U on November 23rd, 2009 1:31 pm

Ha I see it’s time for all the Bellevue fans to make their appearance on here. Maybe you should take some of the money you spend on Butch and create your own site. Then you wouldn’t need to trespass on other leagues.

  20. Wing T 4 Life on November 23rd, 2009 1:32 pm

Armchair pops, please calm down. I know your stock in Apple is dropping, should of invested in Microsoft like the smart peeps in Bellevue. Just another reason we will win, class and smarts.

  21. Fan of the U on November 23rd, 2009 1:34 pm

Fairy – you live in Spokane…don’t you have chickens to milk?

  22. SHS fan from EWU on November 23rd, 2009 2:16 pm

Haha lol, Spokane is a bigger city than Vancouver with a much larger down town and industrialized area… I wouldn’t necessarily think it wise to throw out unsupported statements like that. Both cities have many rural communities outside of them. Just sayin…. Of course that won’t stop Skyview from shutting Ferris down.

  23. Armchair QB on November 23rd, 2009 2:22 pm

The only smell we detect is the fear & nervousness on your breath, Wing T and Pickle. I hope your scouts took plenty of video & photos. We’ll understand if you’re too scared after watching the film to come back here. By the way, Wing T, my Nike stock is doing just fine, thank you very much. And you “should have” stayed in school beyond 6th grade.

  24. Armchair QB on November 23rd, 2009 3:06 pm

Wing T, stay focused, you young whipper-snapper, or I’ll have to get out of my rocker and beat you with my cane. This here is a football forum, not a personal finance forum, got it? Now where did I put my teeth…

  25. twoj on November 23rd, 2009 3:15 pm

lol i love people’s egos on this site. especially the people arguing stocks, you’re kidding right. lets talk football perhaps, seems like another week where everyone is underestimating the gshl, just ask 3 teams from the mighty spsl that skyview beat by large margins. ferris is in for a lot more than they think, but this will be a testament to the gsl if they win because it seems like this year the gsl just beat each other up, now ferris is the only school left to rep that league. should be a good game featuring two solid qb’s and teams. union just needs to stop the blue wing t train of bellevue. play with more tenacity in the trenches then bellevue and union can win. go gshl.

  26. Armchair QB on November 23rd, 2009 4:32 pm

Heh heh, got that right twoj. Showed that young Wing T pup a thing or two. Now where was I…? Oh yeah, Union football. Llike this old turkey told you young ‘ens last week, the key to this here game boils down to the Union O line & D line. Even I didn’t dare predict the super-sized can o’whup-a$$ dished out by our good ol’ Titan boys. They sure made believers outta them there Ferndale folk. Or was it Meadowdale? One o’them dales. Or both of ‘em. I don’t recollect that well. Like I was sayin’ the O-line sprung them lickety-split ball-carryin’ boys thru holes big enough fer me and my walker (I see I gotta replace them there tennis balls real soon). And that D-line stood up and smothered them Mavericks, did they not? Eh? What’s that sonny? Oh yeah, them Titan linebackers! Just I like said they would, they crashed into that Maverick backfield like a druken preacher’s wife plowed thru my daddy’s barn in that ’29 DeSoto. But that’s another story for another day. Oops, the nurse is here to gimme my medicine. I’ll stop by agin’ later…

  27. Truth on November 23rd, 2009 5:12 pm

I find it funny that Ferris and Bellevue fans are on our (GSHL) website running their mouths. You’d think by now they would show some respect to the GSHL. That’s why I don’t like people from the Seattle area or California. They think they are good just because they are from there. Too bad that didn’t work for: Meadowdale, Capital, Olympic, Federal Way, Bethel, or Auburn. Remember those great teams. That’s ok though You Talk we Walk. As in walking our teams str8 to the dome. Go Titans! Storm Born Storm Bred Be a Storm till I’m dead!!! 129!

  28. uniontitans on November 23rd, 2009 6:11 pm

Hey “Wing T 4 Life” who doesn’t have scouts at games you think we are sitting down here picking our nose. all im gonna say is I cant wait to see when you lose to a SW washington team sence you hot shots from bellevue are so good. haha

  29. ... on November 23rd, 2009 6:38 pm

I just have two things I thought were funny from reading this. 1: the guy who supports the wing T is calling other offences old fashioned. 2: The fact that someone from Ferris got on here and put a comment saying that the GSHL teams are in for a rude awakening. we manage to “squeeze our way into the SEMI FINALS”? No one can squeeze their way to the semi finals. There are 79 4a teams, and I am sure Skyview would gladly play any one of them for that state title. Reading every single one of these comments, the ones supporting, and against the GSHL has made my night.

  30. GSHL FANATIC on November 23rd, 2009 7:27 pm

Hey Bellevue fans…please explain your domination of Liberty this year with that big 7 point win….all your smack talk makes you sound like the big bully who finally got his faced smacked when he least expected it….you try to sound like like you guys are just SOOOO Good…well apparently Liberty didn’t buy into your crap and almost beat your wolverine butts! You look vulnerable and beatable….Union ain’t no Glacier Peak and we ain’t the same team as last year. Keep watching last year’s state championship game to reassure yourselves the win….Different year, better team and now the revenge factor….you have no idea what you’re dealing with….but please keep disrespecting the Titans…it just makes it all the sweeter when you’re at home watching the silver and black take on Lakes for the trophy…

  31. Houston Spoiler on November 23rd, 2009 7:36 pm

Please Please…dont insult Californai Football. Two Caly teams came north and handled the “mighty titans” and my Bellevue couldnt play with Grant. California is the big leagues boys and the GSHL looks to be low minors, with us in Seattle triple-a. Another year and Union is looking for revenge, please. I-5 late saturday night with have so many sobbing kids in the back of their parents Lexus to the Oregon Border that there might be a flood.

  32. Kim Dalgord on November 23rd, 2009 8:18 pm

Here’s the scoop on the Union festivities this Friday.

The game is going to be a blackout. ASB is requesting everyone to wear black when we take on Bellevue this weekend.

Shuttle bus. We are able to get a shuttle bus for parents/adults/families that do not want to drive up to the Tacoma Dome. We need 47 people per bus, and are hoping to fill two busses. The cost will be $20 per person. We need to finalize buses by 4:00 Tuesday, please email me ASAP to secure your seat! The shuttle will be leaving Union High School at 12:30 and returning to Union approximately 3 hours after the end of the game. The football players are leaving the school at noon, so if you would like to be there to send them off, that would be great!

For those that do not want to ride the bus, there will also be a caravan leaving the parking lot from Union at 12:30 as well. Decorate your cars with your Union flags (on sale for $10) and lets get the windows painted up!

Tailgating will take place in the parking lot just north of the Tacoma Dome, the same location as last year. The tailgating will begin at approximately 3:00, or when everyone gets up there. We do have parents going up early to set up the parking lot. The plan is to tailgate from 3-6, and then go cheer on Union to victory!

Questions? Please contact Kim or Aaron Dalgord at kimdalgord@comcast.net or 360-601-1242

Ferris better check there local weather stations… cause there’s a STORM BREWIN’ !!!! hahahahah lol.

  34. Fan of the U on November 24th, 2009 9:14 am

Wing T 4 Life – really bad name to post under. You can’t run the Wing T 4 Life. It’s not that great of an offense once you get past the high school level. Seriously – you need to change your name to “Wing T K-12″, that would be more accurate.

And what are you doing on here? Does the conductor know you are skipping band practice? Get that tuba back up to your lips young man.

  35. Dale from Meadowdale on November 24th, 2009 9:32 am

Maverick Dogs to the winner of Union and Bellevue. You boys stomped our tails but you fixin for a workin with them Bellevue boys. Maybe I will meet some of you gracious fans again.

  36. Bellevue Beeleever on November 24th, 2009 9:34 am

Union last year your support at the dome was tremendous, and I assume this year will be even bigger. The deal is Bellevue is use to winning and we dont need to make the game a carnival and get our kids hopes up for failure. Our kids are better, period. Thanks for making this far again so we can leave no doubt that we are the better team. Enjoy our game next week vs Lakes.

  37. DCGardner on November 24th, 2009 12:19 pm

    “Our kids are better, period.”

That’s funny, I thought winning football games was more than about individual talent. And even then if that was the case we would win this game outright.

And even if you had a carnival, your kids wouldn’t come out because your fan support is terrible.

All I hear is “bla bla bla Wing T bla bla bla”. Gonna need a lot more than that to beat the Titans.

  38. unkown on November 24th, 2009 12:30 pm

Union has been playing great football and yes I believe they could very well beat Bellvue this week but how can any titan fans justify thinking that they could possibly beat the powerfull team that is Lakes with their 7 D-1 recruits they have. There is no way, Union does not have the athletes to hang with a team that good. But lets just see if they can even make it past the team that handeled them quite easily last year.

  39. Bellevue Beeleever on November 24th, 2009 1:28 pm

Union doesent stand a chance. Tell your kicker..Barrett or whatever to get his leg warm form punting duties. I predict 12.. 3 and outs. It will be a sad Mardi Gras in the dome for the Titanettes.

  40. DCGardner on November 24th, 2009 3:17 pm

Tell all the parents at Bellevue, that their kids are facing another tough team and that is going to prove once and for all that this Bellevue Blunder is finally at an end. And when it happens, the line starts at me for apologies.

  41. Houston Spoiler on November 24th, 2009 4:25 pm

Union please make it a game for at least a quarter. Too many fans wasted $14 to see your pop warner vancouver team blunder all over the field. Game over by halftime and I will accept your apology on the concourse when I eat a Hamburger and Onion burger.

  42. Storm1 on November 24th, 2009 4:55 pm

DC Gardner….GET A LIFE OR INSTEAD OF SCREWING UP THIS WEBSITE GO TO RADIO SHACK AND BUY A CB. IT JUST SEEMS LIKE IT FITS YOUR STYLE.

YOU’RE SO LOW BUDGET YOU MAKE A GREAT SCHOOL LIKE UNION LOOK BAD.

TAKE A BREAK BROTHER OR FILTER YOURSELF.

  43. DCGardner on November 24th, 2009 4:57 pm

    What?

  44. DCGardner on November 24th, 2009 5:02 pm

And speaking of making the website look bad Storm1, take your finger off the shift key.

  45. PopPrep on November 24th, 2009 5:25 pm

Hey, I just discovered this site.

I think Union has a favorable chance in this game, I have seen both teams play and they are definately best in state. Get ready for a barn burner.

Storm1, Get that crud out of here.

DC, Your coming off a little strong.

  46. Houston Spoiler on November 24th, 2009 6:16 pm

Popprep..thats nice of you to pump up your kids team. However Bellevue wins 34-17.

  47. PopPrep on November 24th, 2009 6:20 pm

Well jokes on you bud, Seattle native right here.

I have seen both teams play, and I am quite convinced that it will be within a touchdown or less. I have seen their speed, size, and athleticism and they are both very much equals from what I have seen.

It will come down to execution, and both teams have it in spades.

  48. Armchair QB on November 24th, 2009 6:56 pm

Welcome aboard, PopPrep! ‘Bout time someone answered Knute (post 3). How do the Titans stop the Wolverines’ sleight-of-hand Wing-T? Simple. Find ball-carrier, tackle ball-carrier. Preferably before he makes a 1st down or touchdown. The first part is the harder of the two. Can they do it? Of course they can. And they know they can. Confidence and teamwork. Not overconfidence or wishful thinking, but confidence – in the coaching staff and each other. 3 days and counting!

  49. Union Dad on November 24th, 2009 8:36 pm

Dale we looked all over did not see a “RV” or any dogs what a shame and here you are again, oh well.
Houston, I will just get ahold of our coach and let him know games off, bellevue wins because of what they have done in the past, jk, Our Boy’s will be there and they will be ready, bring it on!
This will be fun, and make no mistake it will be a game.
Just so you all know, Bellevue is the only team on the Titans schedule this week, and the only team the Boy’s are looking and practicing for
“Unknown” weren’t you the jerk sitting behind us last year telling us how lakes was going to show our boy’s how to play ball, just so you know we will have plenty of duct tape to make sure you show our boy’s, wives and daughters the proper respect, no free pass for being “disabled” this year, and just so you know STUPID and smelling bad is not a disability, you will be duct taped to the post out front, so go away and best of luck to your team, I have seen Liberty play and you better not overlook them or you will be taking your D1 players to play basketball this sunday.
    Go TITANS

  50. Your Mom on November 24th, 2009 8:37 pm

Bellevue Beeleever, your “Watch us take on Lakes” comment seems vaguely reminiscent of what the Titans heard before their quarter-final game last year. I believe it was something like “We want Bellevue”. Yah, that was it. And just how did THAT work out for Ferndale?

  51. Union Dad on November 24th, 2009 8:37 pm

Oh by the way I did approve the last Union Dad post,
    Mark

  52. Houston Spoiler on November 24th, 2009 8:52 pm

Union will not win first downs against Bellevue all game long. It will be 2nd and 5 at worst and typically 2nd and 3. Pack the box to stop the run but we will out Houdini you everytime.Who has the ball who has the ball..ohh its Ngyun again in the end zone. Too many arm tackles once again. Union the clock is ticking on your season.

  53. PopPrep on November 24th, 2009 9:33 pm

The Wing T isn’t as big of a threat as you might think Houston.

What makes it great is the speed that Bellevue has, with their speed they can out pace slower teams and take advantage of the misdirection.

However, Union is just as fast if not faster. And believe me when I say that the Wing T is not nearly as scary without an advantage in speed.

  54. Just Sayin' on November 24th, 2009 10:11 pm

I agree with Pop’s! The few video clips I’ve been able to find only show them playing average to below average teams. Here’s a link to a site that had a few clips, most notably the Mount Si game is from an airborne angle which shows their offensive scheme from a great vantage point. I see a disciplined line that sustains their blocks and the backs hit you with speed. But, remember it’s kind of relative because the other teams appear to be rather slow, certainly not at the speed Union plays, nor anywhere near as physical.

  55. Skyview Saxon on November 24th, 2009 10:14 pm

Well I for one don’t care for all the chest-puffing going on… I think people make wild predictions in their own team’s favor so they can say “I told you so” if they win, and “we only lost because (poor refs, injured player, insert excuse here).” I’m always excited to see a local team get to the regional/state levels. For me it’s perfect- I graduated from Ferris, and now I live in Vancouver and my son goes to Skyview! So it’s a win-win either way! I think real fans can support their team without trying to diminish the equal success of another team. Obviously none of them suck if they all made it to the same semi-finals…

  56. Glenn Hauber on November 27th, 2009 10:15 am

We need as many fans as possible to make the trip to Spokane. You can guarantee Ferris supporters will be there in force — not to mention West Valley (Spokane) fans waiting for their 2A semi matchup with Ellensburg. This is such a great opportunity for the team, cheerleaders, band, fans and community. We are so close to a trip to the Tacoma Dome!!! Yes, Spokane is a drive and its Thanksgiving weekend, but this kind of excitement and opportunity is unprecedented. Let’s go Skyview fans! Make the drive and make this a most memorable Thanksgiving for all involved.
    Go Storm!!!

Got something to say?
