Kieran was fantastic, he seems to get better under higher pressure. It’s nice to see the offense in good consistent hands again like last year.

  2. hardhitter on October 23rd, 2010 9:53 am

you are right on….he is getting much better…I would ask one thing though….would someone, a coach, parent or another captain or player please explain to #2 the during the national anthem he is to remove his hat….personally many many men and women have given their lives so he has that opportunity to step on that field…he doesn’t have to agree with that but he should respect it….
other than that…he really played within himself…he is 100% better than he was
at the start of this season…

Kieran McDonagh is the best QB in the GSHL! no doubt about it.. He will prove it against union and he will prove it in the playoffs! You’ll alll see.

  4. Storm Swarm on October 23rd, 2010 11:10 am

hardhitter, i assure you its accidental. he simply forgets to take it off.

  5. victory on October 23rd, 2010 12:19 pm

How does one “forget” to uncover during the National Anthem? It is beyond my comprehension that anything could be more exciting than our National Anthem. Great game Storm!!

  6. Matt on October 23rd, 2010 2:40 pm

I personally know Kieran and he is a really good guy. He probably just forgot to take his hat off, or even forgot he is wearing the hat becuse he wears it the whole game. I’m glad he is getting to start after Watts got “hurt”.

Hey y’all need to go easy on K-Mc for his “error” and excitement during pre-game!

It’s not an defiant attempt to thumb his nose at anyone. I am confident in your lifetime that you mave have done something similar due to being distracted and/or excitement!

All these kids have a spotlight on them and it’s easy to be critical when you are not in someone else’s shoes…I assure you he meant no disrespect and is as patriotic as any young man can be!

    Great Game Deuce!
    Go Storm

  8. goGSHL on October 23rd, 2010 7:52 pm

just wondering… why were they both wearing their home game jerseys?

  9. theONE on October 23rd, 2010 9:49 pm

Kieran has played out of his mind the last few games! Good for him,

  10. Storm from EWU on October 23rd, 2010 11:11 pm

Well I know why skyview was wearing their home jerseys ;)

  11. Chief on October 23rd, 2010 11:54 pm

    those werent rivers home jerseys

  12. Storm1 on October 24th, 2010 6:19 am

River should have a candy sale or something to raise some money for new threads. You can loose but you don’t have to look stupid doing it!

  13. ??? on October 24th, 2010 10:44 am

The real reason river lost was the kicker kept putting them on their 20 I thought it was goin to be close when I saw the first quater river just kept up the good work

  14. ??? on October 24th, 2010 10:45 am

    They couldn’t stop 44

  15. MVHS Athlete on October 24th, 2010 12:56 pm

Chief. home jerseys can be classified as anything but white. and those werent

  16. union fan on October 24th, 2010 10:46 pm

union vs skyview should be one of the best games of the year. after this win of river. wonder what will happen with river vs mt. view

  17. Storm from EWU on October 25th, 2010 9:33 am

Couldn’t stop 44? I believe the Storm made your boy sick, cuz he threw up all over our nice turf. And after that he didn’t get much done lol.

  18. Storm from EWU on October 25th, 2010 9:40 am

And nick is a great kicker. But the game was won when the storm defense started to figure out how to watch the River hand offs. Of course you could argue convincingly that the game was won when the river offense completed nearly as many passes to skyview as they did their own team.

  19. Storm Swarm on October 25th, 2010 10:18 am

Once skyview changed their defence then river was done.

  20. gshl55 on October 25th, 2010 10:36 am

In looking at the video clips of the game it looks like skyview is not that good on the d-line or the o-line for that matter. Looks like river was out of position on the short screen passes. Can skyview’s qb throw a long ball? Finesse only goes so far in football. Looks like skyview got some breaks too which won’t happen this week.

  21. Storm fan from CWU on October 25th, 2010 10:48 am

Just running the table on river like always haha nothing new here. Definitely making the trip down to watch Skyview defend their league championship that is going to stay theirs. Kieran keep doing what your doing and get 6 the ball ;) good work guys

  22. gipper on October 25th, 2010 12:08 pm

The only thing that is running is the Skyview mouths. That is not new.

  23. Storm from EWU on October 25th, 2010 12:13 pm

Kieran puts the ball where it needs to be long or short. I’m most concerned about Park finding running room through the great defense union has been showing. If we can hang through the first quarter then it will be a game. If the U jumps quick like alot of our opponents have then I think Skyview may find themselves unable to dig themselves out like they have done multiple times.

  24. Evergreenfan/Unionfan on October 25th, 2010 1:49 pm

Union fans, including myself, need to be awful careful in their bragging/boasting before the Skyview game.

Union’s offense has often looked awfully sloppy in its execution. The option game is a disaster and needs to be thrown out or fixed fast. There are way too many turnovers and mistakes happening on that side of the ball.

Union’s defense has been great, but if Union is turning the ball over on offense, they could have a [heck] of a time playing catchup with a run-first offense. Now, if Union keeps it simple and is able to just pound away with Browning, that may be all the need. But that is a huge “IF.” SKyview seems to really toughen up on the defense, even if they start out slow. Union hasn’t faced an offense as dynamic and explosive as SKyview’s. They gave up 20 to bellevue, although that was the first game of the season.

  25. ??? on October 25th, 2010 10:27 pm

Strom fan I believe someone on that team threw up 2 and screen pass all they could do causee the qb was being scared not to throw deep

  26. wsumj on October 25th, 2010 11:22 pm

CRs jerseys are solid! Reminds me of LSU.

  27. Storm fan from CWU on October 26th, 2010 2:14 pm

Skyview may run their mouths but it’s because they back it up. Kieran did throw all his touchdowns on screen passes so that’s a respectable argument on his productivity down field but if skyview is winning big by throwing screens then why stop. River fans are upset because they could handle the speed like always and the Union game will be good as long as Skyview comes out fast and ready to go in the first half. You have to play through all 4 quarters with no mistakes to win this one.

Storm fan from CWU – Kieran’s 4th TD was not a screen pass, her threw it down field to Mo Morrison. He looked off a CR DB then zipped it down field and hit Mo on the run for the 15 yd TD. Also, he made a very nice deep 37ish yd pass to Graves the week before vs Evergreen and made some nice downfield passes for TD’s vs Lincoln. I know you know this, just making sure everyone else does.

  29. fanofthegame on October 26th, 2010 4:01 pm

When evergreen was beating skyview 7 of 9 years and river was beating skyview 8 of 9 years up to 06, those schools were not talking it up on-line. But many associated with skyview, like always feel “entitled”.

    Storm fan’s,
Just have one thing to say “tick tick, tick tick” Fridays on it’s way, all this nay saying The Union Titans have endured this year about to come to end, the whole GSHL champions of the last two years is about to take their rightful place!

  31. safetyblitz on October 26th, 2010 5:31 pm

Everyone is going to root for their team. That is the nature of a fanatic. We’re all excited for one of the best games of the year. The setting couldn’t be better. Remember we’re talking about kids and its the kids who are playing the game. Good luck to both teams!!
