Skyview Claims Share Of 4A Title With 55-15 Win Over Heritage

Written by Bryan Levesque on October 30, 2008

The Skyview Storm did just about everything right Thursday night in their 55-15 win over the Heritage Timberwolves.

Skyview scored touch downs on their first four possessions the Storm jumped out to a 28-0 lead and never looked back. Heritage cut the lead to 28-15 in the third quarter, but the Timberwolves second touch down was answered on the ensuing kick-off as RB Duke Kelly ran it back for the score and a 34-15 lead.

With the win, Skyview improves to 7-2 and 4-1 in league play. 4-1 ties Skyview with Heritage at the top of the 4A GSHL. If Evergreen defeats Mountain View Friday night, then there will be a 3 way play-off Monday night with Skyview, Evergreen and Heritage to determine the two play-off teams. A Thunder win, means Skyview is the #1 seed.

Heritage suffered its first league loss, and falls to 5-4 and 4-1 in league. Heritage is still co-champs with the 4-1 record but as with Skyview, play-off seeding depends on the outcome of the Evergreen/Mountain View game. A Plainsmen win, and the Timberwolves head to the Monday play-off. A Thunder win, sets Heritage as the #2 seed.
