Unions basketball coach was fired recently and the rest of the coaching staff quit in protest of the move. Camas has now been contacted by a couple of players from Union about playing at camas next season. The funny thing about this is that these players all live in Camas!! Which makes one wonder why they don't already play for camas. They were cleared by WIAA - that's the top of the food chain, people! Who reported the supposed violation? Cale Piland -Head football coach & athletic director. WIAA would have loved to level Union for a violation, but apprantly there was no 'there' there. Union does it the right way, the moment I find the contrary I will pull my all-state swimming athlete, who lives in the district, and I will put her in a different (& better team) in the Vancouver School District.
