W.F. West Pulls Away Late In 42-18 Win At Mark Morris

Mark Morris trailed the visiting Bearcats (AP #5 2A school) 24-18 early in the th quarter before falling 42-18 at home.

3 different Monarch scored Friday night. Dan Feeney scored from 1 yard out to cut the Bearcats lead to 10-6 at the half. Dalton Thacker caught a pass from QB Seth Pedersen in the 3rd to cut the lead to 16-12. Nikko Asbell’s 3 yard run made keep Mark Morris close at 24-18.

W.F. West’s Brennan Casteel had 3 rushing touchdowns in the win, all from less than 5 yards out.

Mark Morris falls to 4-3 on the season with the loss and stays at 2-0 in league play. The Monarchs will travel host Wasougal (4-3 1-1) Friday at Fishback Stadium 7:00 p.m.
